Where We’ve Come From

Nuvo HR is built on the combined strengths of two trusted services.

From Troy Services, who since 2006 have been helping local business owners lift the burden of bookkeeping, payroll, and admin so they could enjoy their work and reclaim their free time. And from Align People HR, who bring specialist HR expertise, working directly with SMEs to navigate challenges and align their people strategies with business goals.

By bringing these two legacies together under the Nuvo brand, we’ve created something new: HR support that’s practical, people-first, and designed for the realities of running a growing business.

Meet Alison Paton

HR Director

Alison has over 25 years’ experience in HR and learning and development, having worked at a senior level for the BBC, Bovis Construction, and Scottish Enterprise. She led the people strategy for ADIL, helping it grow to 200 staff and expand internationally before being acquired by Schlumberger in 2016.

Meet Katie Woodhouse

HR Business Partner

Katie is an experienced HR professional with a background in supporting SMEs across multiple industries. She is skilled in employment law, training, recruitment, personal development, and employee relations. Katie graduated from the University of Derby and has worked extensively in the non-profit and commercial sectors.

Her approach is practical, empathetic, and always people-focused, ensuring HR challenges are solved with both the business and employees in mind.
